Anaerobic Threshold

KNOWING YOUR THRESHOLD POWER SIMPLY ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH!

The anaerobic threshold (AT) is the max intensity at which lactate combustion matches lactate production. That’s why – in steady state – your lactate concentration does not increase or decrease at AT intensity.

This implies that if you want to improve your threshold, you can work on your lactate combustion and/or lactate production.

Only if you understand how your anaerobic threshold (or MLSS, or FTP) is composed, you can start improving it. This requires knowledge about your lactate production and lactate combustion (or clearance), separately.

With Optimize Performance & INSCYD you can now find out how AT is composed and which aspect of AT you should focus on in training to increase your threshold.

WORLDS MOST ACCURATE MEASUREMENT OF WORLD'S MOST WANTED PERFORMANCE METRIC

  • Optimize Performance & INSCYD detects anaerobic threshold as per scientific definition: the max intensity at which lactate combustion matches lactate production.

  • Detection of anaerobic threshold is by default included in every analysis with INSCYD.

  • Composition of the anaerobic threshold: body composition, aerobic capacity, lactate production. You can now see why the threshold is what it is and what you need to do to change it.

  • Optimize Performance & INSCYD offers the only detection of anaerobic threshold which has been specifically validated in women – no other lactate or FTP test does this.
